How to remove cell ID's within a chapter?
Hi all,
I am having some frustration ripping my set top made DVD+RW videos and creating new IFOs using IFOEdit...
Here is a typical scenario:
1: I capture video on to a DVD+RW using my Philips DVDR985
2: Edit the content by dividing the video into titles, chapters etc...
3: Rip the DVD+RW to my HD
4: Use IFOEdit to create brand new IFO files
5: Burn
When I do the last step, I chose the default parameters of IfoEdit where it creates a chapter every cell(its either that or one single chapter for the entire title, which is bad too!).
The problem is that somehow when I inspect the VOB files created by the set top recorder, it seems to insert a cell id every 30 seconds(if recorded in HQ more, or 1 min if in SP...) and so if for instance I have a chapter marker every 5 mins and I recorded the video in SP mode, I have 5 cell ID's per chapter. This is all peachy is the source set top recorder as the chapter markers are different from the cell ID's.
NOW, when I go to create brand new IFO's, I get an annoying chapter every 30 secs(or 1 min or 1:30 mins...depending on where the cell id's were placed) and so I get well over 60 chapters for ever hour of video which is very annoying.
I have had similar experience when ripping regular commercial DVD's...if the cell ID's are more than the chapters then you will get more chapters in your new IFO's than the original.
Is there any way to make IFOEdit stick with the original chapter markers rather...I know of one way which is using IFOUpdate, but I want to avoid that if I can...
Please help!
