Why my DVD2SVCD produce a CD image over 900M?

I did not change any setting.

But the second cd image file is over 900M and I can not burn it.

Are there any settings I should change?

Thank you.

Hello!
First of all: please read all the stickies, especially the one of how to make a good post. You should really give us more information, but since this is a very common problem, it doesn´t matter. This directly leads me to the second point: please use the search-function. I´m sure you would have found the solution by a search much faster than waiting 5 days to be able to post. At least once a week a question like 'Why is my second image too big?' comes up.

I´m quite sure, you are using TMPGEnc constant quality. With his encoding method you´ve always the risk of getting too big or too samll images, because an exact file size prediction isn´t possible. To have exact file size prediction, use either TMPGEnc CBR, TMPGEnc 2pass, CCE CBR or CCE multipass.

For the record, I'm having trouble with my disk size also and I'm using TMPGenc 2-pass VBR.  You can read the details in the thread below discussing one problem I'm having.  The title is something like quot;Second disk being cut off since I upgraded to 112b1.quot;

Ok, i have read the other thread. But nevertheless, if you start a new problem - thread, please post more information. At least the logfile of the encode to raise the chance of getting an answer to your question.

Yeah, I did search the other messages.  I am not using TMPGenq CQ, I am using 2-pass VBR.  I have verified that my currency separator is in US mode for commas and decimals points.  I have verified that the min avg box is not checked in the bitrate dialog.  I haven't found any other suggestions in the forum, and I'm pulling out the little bit of hair that I have left. lt;sighgt;  I just tried again (without frame selection) and got a 3rd disc over 1GB!

again: please post your logfile!

did u realy tried to burn the image??
i think i know what's ur problem is.
first of first of first of all never look at the image size! i dont know if u know that but if u choose 80 min VCD\SVCD (800 in the prog) u will get 800MB size file, and u will burn it without any problem!
do u know y is that? (ask me if u dont)

anyway the image u got u can burn easily on 800MB disk, dont be affraid 2 try. if u choose in the program 90MIN cd than the file size u get if completly normal.

if not than there's maybe some problem bhind my reach. never the less
u can still burn the image on 800MB cd so u didnt lost all ur work.

OK, Winxi, here's a repost of the logfile from a run in which the last couple of minutes were missing from the second disk, even though the encoded audio and video were complete.  That's what happens when I use frame selection.  When I don't use frame selection, the last CD image is way too large (despite Edoson's comments).  It appears that somehow the info being sent to TMPGenc is causing it to set too high a bit rate and bbMpeg gets a file too big to fit within the requested parameters.  If I drop back to version 1.0.9 build 1 it works fine (but unfortunately I lose my frame selection option.)
