Need some clarification on the line between Original and Mini DVD's only, original, between, process, create

Hi all, my DVD player does not play mini-dvd's so was wondering what or where the process becomes a mini-dvd. If I take the original DVD and do a full transcode (not movie only) with DVD2ONE and burn to DVDR is this not also considered a mini-dvd? If I do a MOVIE only transcode with DVD2ONE, is this a mini-dvd? If I take some VOB's create the ifo files burn to CDR, is this mini-dvd? hehe  as you can see I just need help on where my DVD player decides that the disc I put in is not an origianal DVD.
