DVD Re-Authoring

Hi all.

It has been quite a while since my last post  This mainly because i find everything in the forum.
But sometimes one get's lost in such quantity of information available
This time my little question is about something i'm starting with: DVD Authoring. What i want to do is to take a DVD backup and by some manner modify the menu structure like adding subtitles streams, removing audio streams, adding new menu branches, etc., and then burn it to a DVD+R with, for instance, Instant Copy.
There are quite a good few guides about this matter (like the one by Trilight) but the best would be a process to de-author the original files and create the corresponding DVD Maestro or Scenarist project and then edit it freely.
I really dont think this is possible. The only way i see is to de-multiplex all the media (including, video, audio, stills, subs) and then re-author the whole DVD structure from scratch. As you can see, this is extremely time consuming.
If anyone has some ideas about this subject i would like to ear about them

Thanks in advance for your attention

Thats why DoItFast4u was created.  DownLoad it and enjoy.  It does about 90% of what you asked for automatically.  The menu additions, you will have to add yourself.  Enjoy.

Thanks VidHack. I'll try the program out and see what it can do

Thanks again.

Well, as far i can see from my afternoon of experiments  DoItFast4U does an almost perfect job. But it lacks just one thing to avoid the long and tedious process of reconstructing the whole DVD menu structure from scratch: the instant creation of the DVD Maestro or Scenarist project file  With that, it would be perfect  From that, it would be very easy to add/remove/edit everything to one's pleasure.
But still, its a good tool to edit DVD's and a good start point to the Re-Authoring process.
If anyone has a better way to do what i'm asking here, let me and everyone interested know

Thank you

As far as creating the scenarist stuff is concerned, do a search on Reauthorist here, I think you'll like what you  will find.
