Getting an error message using ingBurn

I tried to make a back up of academy award winner Crash.  Decrypted with DVD Decrypter, created .iso with pgc Edit, tried to burn with ingBurn, got an error messge.

Link to error

So, I installed the pgc ARccOS plugin, tried again.  pgc edit reported that the disc is not ARccOS protected, and the plugin was not needed.

So I tried again, got the same error message. Here is the complete log from ingBurn:

I'm thinking maybe the layer break was borked, but.........

Layer Break

I only had one option.

Really not sure what else to try here, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

In view of the fact that DVD Decrypter is (based on your posting) able to successfully rip this DVD, you should need /use no other software to both rip and burn.

1) Use DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 in ISO mode to  quot;Read .ISOquot; (rip to hard drive)

Then

2) Use DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 in ISO mode to quot;Write .ISOquot; (Burn to disc). Select the quot;.MDSquot; file (It contains layer break information, among other things), rather than the .ISO file

By the way, before burning, try playing your .ISO image file under quot;VLCquot; player...

I tried to play my .iso file from pgc edit in vlc media player, would not work.  Ditto with BS Player.  So, I tried to create a new one with ingTool.  This would not play in vlc, either.  I decided I would try to burn it anyways, but got the following error:

Link to Error

I ended up just throwing the little bugger at Nero Recode, and that disc seems to be working just fine. I don't really feel like wasting 2 discs on 1 movie, so I'll not persue this matter any further.

I would like to ask though, for future reference, how does everyone normally handle their burns -- rip to .vob files with dvd decrypter, then build an .iso from pgc edit, or just rip to .iso mode with dvd decrypter, and then use that to burn???

I would rip to an iso with DvdDecryptor and burn the file with ingburn.

Also I've never tried Ritek dual layer disks so not sure of their quality. Hopefully someone else can confirm they're ok.

So, I tried to create a new one with ingTool.

Is there a reason you didn't try what I suggested?
