xvid -gt; svcd

I have a xvid avi that has a problem of pixel salad and using ffdshow and some option of xvid codec i was able to correct the problem but only in the playing. But i want to converse to svcd amd the pixel salad returns and rhe mpeg file are very poor. Are any way to change the way that it happens?

Try using DirectShowSource in an AviSynth script to get the video decoded by ffdshow and then feed that into your SVCD Creation program.

Best to go from the original recording to goto SVCD, rather than from a XviD. But this part of the forum isn't the place to talk about SVCD creation.
