Hey all, I'm looking for a program to help medo stop motion and animation.
The ideal program would take snapshots at the press of a button and automatically name them sequentially so they could be viewed one after anotherto form a movie.
that would be sweet if such a program existed.
Please clarify. You say that a program should take snapshots at manually controlled intervals. Do I then assume correctly that you allready have a clip (normal movie framerate) on your computer? Or would you like this program to control a device (f.i a DV-cam) to trigger when pictures are to be taken?
I know that there are DV cams that has stop-motion implemented as a feature.
cheers
I have stop motion on my camera, but only at regular intervals, I want to be able to snap a picture at the press of a button. I'd like to use a program that reads a live DV stream and lets me take a snapshot at the press of a button and automatically name them sequentially.
In other words I want to have the cam hooked up to my comp through firewire, and record what the cam is seeing as a picture on my comp, without even recording to tape.
That would be sweet indeed. I have no passthrough capabilities on my cam, thus no expirience with the softwares associated. If you somehow could get a quot;handlequot; to the input stream (like VFAPI, vdr or avs) there are a bunch of apps that would let you do this. Unfortunately, the only programs that I know of that quot;talksquot; with the DV via IEEE1394 are also the ones doing captures to HD and nothing else.
Lets hope someone knows more ...
