Combined Programs...

Ok last week when i was reading threw the tons of threads on the site while waiting to post bc im a stupid newbie, I read about a program that someone was working on building that would be combining a couple different dvdripping programs into one.  BUT being the rocket scientist that i am, I didnt save the page or bother to remember what the thread was called.  Ive spent about the last hour reading threw threads and at the risk of showing all of u how much of a newbie i am...does neone know what i am talking about and where I can find this thread.

I hope this is what you are looking for but, there are several All-in-One encoding utilities avalible now. Here are the ones I can think of right now:

GordianKnot It is very widly used to convert DVDs to Divx video, ac3 or mp3 audio, and avi container. A guide for GordianKnot is here.

DVX Is more versitile in input and output ablities, and is still heavily being developed, but is not as widespread as Gknot.

AutoDub is also a versitile program that will take many inputs and produce many outputs.

By inputs and outputs I am refurring to types of audio and video compression as well as different container formats. I know there are more then this, perhaps others will post more programs. You can take a look at the programs and the websites for information on how to use them.

Hope this helps,
TelemachusMH

Well there is my programm too , but it s not very customizable. It's really meant for people who doesn't want to bother with all the options and just want to backup there DVDs and get an acceptable output quality in just few clicks.

Yo
Tele and Seph...really appriciate it.  But in case neone else happens to think they have a clue what im talking about...these wernet the programs I was talking about.  Im actually not even looking for the program just for the thread discussing it.  I believe one of the members is building this program in his spare time and I just wanted to thanks him for the work he did.  But TO ALL YALL thanks for all the work u put in on programs tutorials and answering questions for ignorants like me...

Wow...very impressed with AutoDub!  This program is one of the few I've tried which runs perfectly, is easy to understand and use, but also allows for customization of everything you need to bother with.  With subtitle extraction coming soon, I can't wait to test this out on my troublesome DVDs.  Thanks for this thread, rpa1121, I wouldn't have found out about it without your post.  Thanks, TelemachusMH, for posting the link.  With Robot4Rip, this program makes DVD backups a snap (and high quality, too)!
