Scenarist rejecting AC3fix checked files! difficult, solution, checked, problem

I've been slowly chipping away at a full dvd backup, and finally came to a point of reauthoring the DVD!  I've run into a problem, naturally.  This one is really difficult to find a solution to.  I've searched the forum and not much help.  Here is the problem:

I used DoItFast4U (I know there is a forum designated to that tool, but it is not the source of the problem) to prepare my assets.  I then encoded the video files, etc.  When I am trying to import my assets (the extras at this point) into Scenarist data folder, the program only accepted 4 out of 16 or so AC3 files (each associated with a separate PGC).  The error message is as follows:

ErrorE:\_wakinglife\VTS01\VTS__01_P04-80-576K-[-489ms]-ch2English.AC3 is not supported file format.
Info0 file(s) accepted, 1 file(s) rejected

Now.  I've watched DIF4U check the audio files.  In addition, I ran AC3fix on them, which found no errors.  

I've reached the end of my rope. Please help! Many Thanks in advance.
