How to make your B/W movies appear in color
As you all know, it can be quite boring to sit and watch old B/W movies when all the new ones have full color. But don't dispair, a swedish TV team presented the solution already 41 years ago on this very day!
The solution: You find a pair of nylon stockings, cut out a piece large enough to cover the screen (TV and/or monitor), and fasten it to the screen, using adhesive tape or sometihing like that. Then start a B/W movie and watch it through the nylons and you'll get to see it in full color!
LOL! That's great. Where did you get this information? Does it matter what kind of Nylons you use? Have you tried this? Sounds like I might have an experiment this weekend

I've seen the clip a few times where the newsreader (completely serious) read it and demonstrates it - as well as pointing out that since you haven't ruined your nylons yet, you can't see that the demonstration is working...Does it matter what kind of Nylons you use?
The more expensive nylons will of course give a richer and better color presentation
Great, buy a nylon and save 33% of the bitrate! Is there a codec optimized for b/w?
Nice April´s fools!!!!
Joke or not, but I saw some 20 years ago (when here was still many B/W TV) colored plexy plate for same purpose by couple people.

Especially for soccer matches, but I can only remember that the grass had a green mask at the bottom. I was too young then |
