Conversion of windows media 5.1 to 6 wav files possible?
Hi folks!
The subject says it all. I've got a windows media 9 file with a 5.1 audio track and i want to convert it for use on a dvd. I've already encoded the video, but i couldn't find a way how to export the 5.1 track to 6 wav files for encoding in Dolby Digital.
I only found some ways how to downmix it to 2 channels. But i want to keep all 6!
Has anyone found a way to do so? Please help me.

I solved the problem myself.
Cool Edit Pro 2.1 is able to read multichannel WMA 9 files. The only problem is, that it can only open them with the appropriate number of channels under Windows XP. Under all other Windows versions the files will be opened as Stereo...
When opening the file in Grahpedit, cant you try to insert a file writer filter after the decoder, after deleting the audio renderer ?

I already tried that. Directly after the encoder i can't use a file writer. The file writer has to know, what format to write. The problem is, that i would need a 5.1 wav or 6 mono wavs to encode it to AC-3. But the Wav-dest filter i use between decoder and file writer makes a 2 channel downmix... |
