Anyone tried to encode interlaced Video without deinterlacing without, believe, because, require, encode

i mean, keeping it interlaced.
Is it okay with Divx 5.05??
Or should i use Mpeg2?? I need it for Captures from Hi-8 Material.

I can't help you much because I haven't tested it out myself. From what I've read of people who have used the 'encode as interlaced' option in DivX5.0.5 it works well but does require fairly high bitrates.

I think i use the 50fps guide from here 100fps.

I believe using Divx for interlaced Video isnt a good idea.
