How to enable remotely started programs to use overlay? necessary, connected, programs, hardware, started

Hi,

i am on a winXP machine, and, what i am trying to do is basically to remotely launch a media player in order to watch a movie in a room next door. The tv in that room is connected to the tv out of 'main frame'.

The problem is however that pürograms started via telnet do not seem to posses the necessary rights to use hardware overlay. so that they show no image or do not even start properly.

I use the winxp tlntsrv and log in with admin password.

I've tried doing that before and never could get it to work. But I found a workaround, you can use WinVNC to login the remotely and start the player that way.
