Multiple DVD/VOB Clips to DVD
I have searched through this forum and numerous other DVD forums, and have not found a post relating to my question:
What I'm wanting to do is rip multiple chapters from various DVDs to make one DVD demo disc for my home theater system. I don't want to lose any resolution through compression. I've used SmartRipper to rip the chapters successfully, stripping only the main 16x9 video and the 6 channel AC3 audio. I have used VOBedit and IFOedit to make join the vobs and correct the VTS settings (etc etc etc), and it works to an extent. If I play the disc on my computer, it works fine, but then if I try to play it on my DVD player (and several other DVD players) it plays for five seconds, then skips to another chapter, plays again for five more seconds, then skips again. I've also tried programs that are suppose to extract the VOBs to MPEG2 format, but the video comes out in lower resolution.
Is there a program, or a group of progams, that will successfully let me do what I'm looking to do? Any help would be appreciated.

PS- I know it's not my Burner... it's a TDK DVD+R, because I can play copied DVDs on numerous players.
What I would do is demux each VOB and then using Scenarist, I would build a new DVD.
If you just had a bunch of VOB files you could use IFOEDIT to create new VIDEO_TS/IFO files and it should analyze the vobs and create working support files. |
