InstantCopy 7, 8--what are the latest versions?

i just checked Pinnacle Sys's website for kicks to see if there was a more recent patch out for IC7 and found:

Version : 7.1.1
Date Inserted : 10/7/2003
Extension : Exe
Size : 12.2 MB

i thought 7.1.1 was released a long time ago.  does 7.0.3.140 from ~July equal the same version or is this one from 10/7 newer?

also, what's the latest build of IC8?  i don't own the new version, but i know there was some talk about quot;betasquot; floating around w/ early build numbers.

another question: are there any enhancments in transcoding algorithm from v7 to v8? i don't want to update only for additional staff i REALLY don't need...

ya know what--looking at that 10/7/2003 date again, methinks my dumb-American-ass read it as October when it actually reads July .

i would still like to know the current build of IC8 though.

here's a small list of InstantCopy Versions that i am aware of at the moment, hope this clears things up for you!

InstantCopy (StandAlone) Versions :
can be found for v7.x, when you click the upper left corner of InstantCopy (two cd icon) and choose About or Information
and for v8.x when you click the advanced button and then the about button

from what i can tell now, the standalone and the bundled versions are not exacly the same, they have same size but differ in content, though the functionality of the bundled is the same as of the 'claimed IC Ver.' of the standalone

All of the above versions are currently recognized and supported by InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor 1.4.2

This is a list i try to keep up to date, you always can find it over at DVDRBase in its recent Version, and its also contained in InstantCopy Hidden Settings Editor, in case you use it, you could check there aswell!

My version is 8.0.0.251. I bought it through the E-store as an update to IC7.
Is there any diference?

2 big differences I know of:

1. title removal is now supported and no longer requires the hack

2. there is a speed setting which takes a similar time to other transcoders but sacrifices quality
