Divx/Xvid with AC3 sound on Kiss 450/500 only, understand, homepage, however

Did anyone try the playback of a Xvid/Divx file with AC3 sound on a Kiss 450/500 ? If so, did it play fine?

My DivX's with AC3 sound play fine, however i can't tell you if they are getting downmixed to stereo as i only have mine plugged into my TV speakers.
As far as I could tell, the stereo output is a downmix on both released models. However as far as I couldt understand, you can have the complete AC3 output through an optical output.

Kiss will soon release a hardware player that has an integrated surround sound amplifier  (the DP-470)

In answer to your question, If you have the correct surround sound amp the kiss player can output a 5.1 stream directly via the s/p-dif port in raw format. So yes it can play AC3 5.1 sound from an MP4 movie.
