How to copy an injured SVCD to a blank CD?
Hi!
I have an SVCD, which is injured. When I burned half a year ago, it was playing well, but not now. Tried to copy the mpeg file on it to my hdd, but there was a read error, at 99%. So I had an idea: could I copy only the 99% to a new file? As far as I know, mpg format movie can be cut at any point, so this way the new file would play also good. But when copying the file and the read error acours, nothing will be created. The last 1% is the cast, so it can be lost.
Question: which program can copy a part of a file to a new file?
TMPGEnc has an MPEG tools set that might be able to do what you need to do. Close the Wizard and use File...MPEG tools. The Mergeamp;Cut tab is probably the one you want. You can select a start and end point within the quot;goodquot; section.
I recently had a similar problem and used Mpeg-Vcr(mpeg2vcr) to cut/edit what I needed. It lets you pull your mpeg directly off disc to view/play and you can edit that way. Just set your end point before the spot with the error and save(record) to hdd. link |
