I have this movie, and the movie is about 5.33 GB all together. The movie is about 90 minutes long. I want to encode it 2 CD, instead of 1 CD. How exactly do I go about doing this? Also, the movie has subtitles which I want to hard sub.
I assume, only based on looking through your prior posts, that you plan on encoding an AVI with an MPEG-4 codec such as XviD or DivX. If this isn't what you intend, then please provide more information.

If you use Gordian Knot as your bitrate calculator and/or .avs creator and/or encoding suite, select your CD size and number of CDs. Otherwise, use whatever bitrate calculator you like, selecting 2-CDs worth of intended space.
Once you've finished creating, for example, a 1.4GB muxed AVI, merely split it, using Nandub, AviSplitCalc, or VirtualDubMod. AviSplitCalc is a front-end for Nandub, and either Nandub or VdubMod support all different types of AVI audio.
And Doom9 has a guide for splitting AVIs, found either by poking through his DivX/Xvid guides, or going to the list of guides and selecting the VirtualDub procedures guide. |
