Changing Directshow filter preference! filter, like, positive, default, displays

My Directshow filters not good.  When I preview in DVD2AVI I get a purple bar down the side of the screen.  I am positive that this is due to the filter being used.  I had the same when using IFOEdit DVDPlay.  How do I tell WinXP which filter to default to?

DVD2AVI, AFAIK, doesn't use any Directshow decoding filters, it does the decoding itself, and displays out to overlay via the preview window.

This sounds like a problem with your video drivers, or possibly DirectX.
