Error when running D2SRoba

hi.

i thought i would try D2SRoba out as i'd heard good things about it.

i first installed 3.1.5 and when i ran it i got the following error message -

autoit error

line: 0
Run($g_guiExe)

Error: Unable to execute the external program

i uninstalled and tried all the previous versions and got the same error.

i installed 3.1.5 on my wifes computer and it runs fine.
(i can't use this though as it is slow and has no DVD)

i am using DVD2SVCD ver 1.2.1 build 3 and CCE 2.5

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify things - you are getting this error before the program would even run? that is you don't even get the D2SROBA configuration screen ?

have you tried an earlier build ?

that's correct the only screen i see is the error message.

and yes i've tried earlier versions - same thing.

the only difference between my wifes computer and mine is i have dual processors and raid (the OS is the same).

Do you have the file AutGUI.exe?. It should be located in ..\DVD2SVCD\Tylo\dist folder

If yes, double click on it (to run it). An error message should pop up
quot;AutGUI- Incorrect number of parametersquot;

If the message doesn't pop up, try to copying it from your wife's computer, may be it is corrupted.

Sorry, I'm not convinced this is going to help you, but I don't have  more ideas.

Don't do a reinstall. I have heard some systems having this problem before. I think I know a cure for it, but you'll have to wait for next release.

i'm looking forward to trying it out.

Unfortunately I still get the error with the latest version.

I can run it on my wifes computer and access the files on my computer through our network but it is not ideal.

Does/has anybody had this problem?

What did you do to solve/work around it?

Please, provide the exact error message and the OS you use (Win98/ME/2000/XP).

Put this in the DVD2SVCD\Tylo directory, run it, and report back the behaviour:
tylohome/files/guitest.exe

When I click on the D2SRoBa shortcut in the start menu i get the following error message.

I ran your guitest.exe and this is what i got -

I got a box with the following info-

test1: starting: dist\AutGUI.exe

ScriptDir: C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Tylo
WorkDir: C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Tylo
OsVer: WIN_XP

I clicked OK

I got a box saying Hello

I clicked OK

I got a box saying - test2: starting: C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Tylo\dist\AutGUI.exe

I clicked OK

I then got a box saying -

AutoIt Error

Line 0:

RunWait($fullpath)

Error: Unable to execute the external program.Thank you for your help
