Two PGCs of the same length?

Hello! I am trying to backup my own copy of $eabi$cuit and when I load up DIF4U, it displays 2 PGCs under the main VTS, but they're exactly the same. Same length, same everything. Upon inspecting the IFO for the main movie, it shows the 2 PGCs, using the same VOB-ids, same length, same frame-rate, same number of programs, chapters, and cells. The only difference I can see is that the second PGC has more layer breaks. Now, I'm pretty sure that this movie is not a seamless branching type with special editions or anything like that. There's just the one movie with a bunch of other features. So any ideas as to why there's two, and if I should check both of them in DIF4U during my first step of the Big 3? I tried just leaving the default (having DIF4U uncheck the first PGC because of duplicate VOB ID), and removed some extras, but when RA loads up, my bitrate for the second PGC is so low now because of the copied unused VTSs that are now in the VIDEO_TS directory. Any ideas?

on some dvd the 2 same PGC are for the same movie but with different angles (generaly only strat/end credits changes).

could be various reasons. Mostly different pre- or post commands. Sometimes different audio/sub setup.

Yeah LotR EE is like that too.  The first main PGC is the regular movie w/ subtitles and Dolby/DTS audio but the second PCG is the same length and everything as the first PGC but the second PGC is used for the subtitles and audio for the numerous commentaries contained on the DVD.  So you can just leave the first one unchecked but make sure you recreate the second PGC with all of the correct audio and subs.

As for the low bitrate on your second PGC, it isn't because DIF4U copied the first PGC to your VIDEO_TS directory.  VTSs are copied to that directory, not unused PGCs.  So your low bitrate isn't caused by DIF4U deselecting the first PGC.  You might have a large menu, lots of extras, or something like that that could be causing the drop in your bitrate. Also, Seabiscuit is a 2 and a half our movie so the bitrate is expected to be somewhat low.

Hi, BTW, I'm currently trying to backup this DVD Edition.

So I left unchecked the PGC1 and encoded it with the first and the second Audio tracks and with the french and english subtitles.

The problem is, when you want to play the DVD, as I have removed the PGC1 the menu tell me :quot;The story continues on the Disc 2quot;. With Ifoedit I passed to switched the PGC2 as PGC1 but, I can't change my audio language under PowerDVD, I'm obliged to go to the menu and change it manually. That's not a real problem but, I can't access to any subtitles I took. How can I fix this my friend ?
