is there any way to change the light of the picture with GK before encoding?

Hi all, please is there any way to clear the picture which sometimes tends to be dark. I did encode the movie quot; The crowquot; and indeed the picture was too dark as the preview picture in GK showed.  is it possible to change the light of the picture (like in the software XMPEG)to make the picture lighter before encoding. I don't want to use the monitor or the graphic card, it works fine, just the movie please

thank you and great work!

Hi-

Levels or Tweak will work.

For Levels, something like Levels(0,2,255,0,255) will brighten it up (probably too much). That second number (2) is the gamma setting, with 1 being default. 1.3 or 1.5 might be better suited to your needs.

For Tweak, something like Tweak(Bright=10) will brighten it up a bit. With that one, the default Bright setting is 0.

In both cases, just add the filter to your .avs script before encoding. Open the script in VDubMod and scroll around to make sure that it looks OK. And you should also know that any brightening that you do makes your movie less compressible.
