Aspect ratio and ripping issue
Hi to everybody,
I have read the forum and the Qamp;A found in the first page, went to search for answer to my problems in this forum and I found none..so here I am!
1. Aspect Ratio
My problem is with the viewing area of my output SVCD encode with DVD2SVCD. The viewing area on the SVCD is stretched while the source DVD is of course normal. The black bar of the SVCD is shorter(viewing area stretched) then the black bar display in the DVD video( longer black bar). So the display of the SVCD is stretch. I encoded two times with different aspect ratio 4:3 (without borders) and 16:9 (borders added) in DVD2SVCD. I preview both MPEG files in Zoom player which has aspect ratio of 4.3 display. Both turn out to be exactly the same viewing area and squashed. Result is to be watch on TV!
How can I can the same viewing area in the DVD source?
2. Ripping Issues
I use DVD2SVCD to rip one of my DVD.Both internal routine and Vstrip could only rip till 84% of the DVD, leaving the last Vob corrupted? I test with DVD decrytor and it rip completely. Now, the problem is that I want to encode with DVD2SVCD but I know from my experience, rippind DVD other then what is provided by DVD2SVCD will cause the program to malfucntion somewhere along the encoding. What can I do then to use DVD2SVCD or other alternatives? I play the whole movie thru and open the last Vob manually in the DVD to make sure the Vob file is not corrupted!
Or what other rippers can DVD2SVCD work with?
I'm sure many had this problem of rippping!
I agree with good and proper topic and title posting. It makes searching for answer easier! |
