dts -gt; 6 mono waves not mapped in correct order
Hi to all!
I have the latest version of BeSweet (1.5b25), Azidts and all other dlls. I'm trying to convert a dts track (at 1536 Kbps) to a six mono waves to encode via SurCode in dts at 768 Kbps. The problem is that BeSweet correctly decode the dts into six waves, but the filename are not corrected. For example... the quot;LFEquot; wave is not the *true* LFE track! and so all the other waves. I have followed the name conversion in the BeSweet LOG but the name are always wrong. Is there a way (or a tool) that can correctly decode and renaming the dts track into 6 discrete waves?
Thanks in advice.
Ok I've made 6 single waves with recorded the quot;channel namequot; (using a microphone ), converted in DTS through SurCode and then reconverted in 6 single waves. This is the results:
BeSweet mapping -----gt; Real mapping
Central --gt; is Front Right
Front Left --gt; is Front Left
Front Right --gt; is Center
Surround Right --gt; is Surround Left
LFE --gt; is Surround Right
Surround Left --gt; is LFE
I only would like to know if this quot;conventional mappingquot; is constant or it can change...
Thanks!
1. what version of windvd do you have ? what's the version of your decoding filter ?
2.
3. try out this special edition.

Thanks for your reply DSPGuru.
Well...
1) The WinDVD version is 5.3
2)The log is:Code:

3) I haven't tried yet the special version because I have quot;convertedquot; the Dts in 6 waves and renamed them like in my previous post and *seems* to work. The LFE and Central channel are rights so i think other channel will be right too.
Thanks!

RESULTS - well it depends what Speaker config you choose in the INTERVIDEO Decoder Filter window:
if you choose 6 speaker mode ( 5.1 Channel)
----------gt; results is totally weird e.g. female voiced becomes male,
= ITS GARBAGE !!! - though i didnt expect something useful from this config
if you pick 2 speaker mode - (Stereo)
----------gt; the result is a true STEREO file containing all channels.
=SOUNDS OK
if you select 2 speaker mode - (Dolby Surround Compatible)
----------gt; you also get a STEREO wave with all channels, but obviously with Pro Logic info.
=SOUNDS BEST.
so DSPguru you did it (for azidts) again , MERCI
Ok, after solving the Intervideo problem, responsable for the empty .wav files I have only one last question:
Which .dll should I use in order to get the right channels mapping?
BeSweet.dll 1.5b23 or BeSweet.dll *SPECIAL*?
Will both work under any version of the Intervideo filter?
I tried (BeSweet.dll 1.5.23)+(Intervideo 4.5) with this original DTS CD
Diana Krall
and the results sound ok but are they really?
Thank you. |
