What is the best way to receive over the air HD broadcasts?

Is there any antenna people reccomend?  I have a zenith Silver Sensor for indoor use.  Would it be better to get an outdoor antenna?I went to a site which told me what stations I should receive, but some of them are missing.

Any information would be helpful, and thanks for your time.

I also have a Zenith Silver, and receive almost all stations (signal at NBC 90%, CBS 85%, FOX 45%, ABC 30%).  My FOX and ABC usually don't come in at all (seen as 0%, but probably more like 15%), except when snow is on the ground...  All of the stations are located at 160-165 deg. and 14-16 miles away, so I should get all equally, but depends upon their towers and broadcast strength.

Try the TitanTV antenna website:  ttv/AntennaSe...stType=digital (need free membership to use).  They had my situation here in Iowa exactly correct (NBC, CBS: excellent; FOX, ABC: poor), and even suggested the exact antenna to buy.  According to them, if I were to upgrade to a larger antenna, I would get all stations at quot;excellentquot;.  The Zenith only provided me a 10% boost from my previous indoor, but was much needed.

Hope the link helps.  Keep in mind that some stations (PBS, WB) simply may not be broadcasting, but your major 4 probably are.

Edited here:
P.S. Also try searching the AVS forums: from--.  Its likely you'll find someone discussing HD stations in your area.

is free too and doesn't require you to register at all.

ok, thanks so much for that info.  I'm getting about the same results as you, except fox is borderline, but I don't have any snow where I'm from.  Maybe I have my direction wrong.  I went to antenae web, and some information doesn't seem correct.  Oh well, I appreciate your reply!!!
