Freezing images problem with IC 7

I tried to burn several movies with IC 7 (patches 1 amp; 2)with full DVD mode (The Tuxedo, Welcome to Collinwood, etc.) and every time the entire process is going great, the DVD is burned, but when I read it with my standalone player (Pioneer 444), there are always freezes, and mosaïc effects at different moment during the movie. The problem happens even with movie slightly over 4.7 GB witch doesn't need a lot of compression.

Has anybody the same problem ? Thanx

sounds it's more like it's media/standalone issues

what does it playback like on your PC?

Hi MisterX.
First, thank for the great guides

I had the freezing with Sony DVR-RW discs and my Pioneer 444 Standalone DVD player. But when I use PowerDVD and read directly the DVD files on the disc, I have exactly the same problem : freezing, blocking, etc. Any clues ?

how about when you play the ripped DVD?

how did you rip it?

it looks as if its down to your ripper and settings

have you still got the PDI files from one thats faulty?

Ripped with DVD Decrypter, file mode, entire DVD, default settings.

I even had the problem with the Movie Welcome to Collinwood (4.8 GB)just slightly oversized. I understand a high compression on very large movies could cause such problems, but with this one...

so what does the ripped DVD playback like?

does it do the same stuff in the same places?

are you using the settings in my DVDDerypter guide?

have you tried renaming the PDI files to .VOB before burning and playing them?

you need to find out which stage is creating these faults, is it?

1. ripping, play after ripping and check it all
2. IC, rename PDI files and check them all

if it's still ok at this stage then it's down to media or your burner

And try to copy the files from your RW to hard disk and try to play from there. If it is a media issue, usually there occurs a read error on copying or the files on the hard disk play ok...
