After looking for in this forum and reading a lot of post, I've finally not found the solution to my problem. What I want to do :
- I want to merge 2 DVD into one (quality is not really important, it's a comic's spectacle)
- if possible I would like to keep the menu of the original DVD (possibility to go directly to a sketch) ; I have certainly to author a first menu but how can I join the three (the 2 from original DVD and my authored) ?
Other point : I remove some extras to win some place (this point is ok for me).
My problem is that I don't really find a guide which explain clearly what tools like ifoedit does (there are some trick which are quot;methodesquot; but not quot;tutorialquot;).
If somebody can help me or indicate me quot;a wayquot;...
PS : excuse for my english, I do my best but I'm not fluent in the Shakespeare's language :-)
The method for joining double sided DVDs should apply here.
Try this:

thanks for you help.
I have a part to resolve my problem. But if I well understand, when the player reach the end of the first DVD, it will continue to the second.
How can I conserve the tow original menu and create one which permits to select and launch this menus ?
That would require a lot more knowledge and the use of an authoring app like Scenarist. I have never had to put 2 full movies (including menus) onto a single DVD-R so I honestly don't know.
I'm sure it can be done beacuse all it requires is a new menu that links to 2 items - how you'd actually go about this though, I have no idea. Sorry.
yes it's what I think : one authored menu which link to the original one's but I don't know how to ?
I've all the tools (DVD MAestro for authoring), I know how to make a full new DVD (with CCE and so) but half-authored and half-not ...?
..your post was useful for me anyway :-) |
