Hi,
I have been using DVD2SVCD for ages, and it's been great. I just bought a new PC and installed DVD2SVCD but when I run it I get a Windows error message stating that DVD2SVCD has encountered problems and needs to close.
A couple of points:
- I have tried an older version of DVD2SVCD and the latest version, same problem with both
- PC is running Win XP Pro, Service Pack 1
- I installed xp-aspi first, then CCE 2.50, then DVD2SVCD
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pred.

Ver of dvd2svcd do u use?
Ver of avisynth?
etc etc....
where in the process does it crash?
Do u have a log to send?
U hardly didnt send any info att all so u cant realy expect to get an answer!
I've tried the current version of DVD2SVCD v1.1.3.B2, Avisynth v2.08.
It crashes when I double click the DVD2SVCD icon on my desktop.
I have also tried DVD2SVCD v1.09.B3, which works fine on my old PC running Win2000. This version crashes on the new PC in exactly the same way as the latest version.
*** I have a DVD-RW drive, not a CD writable drive. Could it be that DVD2SVCD doesn't recognise a valid writable drive?

I can't believe this. I just re ran DVD2SVCD to copy the error log, and it worked! Since trying this last night, I have installed the Roxio EZCD Creator Platinium patch so that my DVD-RW drive would work with Roxio. Maybe this has enabled/recognised the drive?
Weird. But glad it now works.
Thanks,
Pred.
