Divx is Too Dark

I have ripped seveal dvds in excellent quality, but the problem I am having is that the final product is too dark. Is there any way to tweak the window media player settings to brighten it up?

In wmp6.4 select file-gt;properties-gt;advanced-gt;'divx decoder'-gt;properties

And adjust the brightness as you desire.

Gamma corrections this way will reduce color palete
I would sugest to adjust the brightnes on you monitor first.
if you cannot live with this. then due it like above
