Hi all,
I punch in all my settings then the job queue comes up:
Transcode.....
Mux....
I press start amp; nothing happens - what am i forgetting?

what kind of input video and audio are you using what kind of output are you trying to get.
do the jobs disapear without being run or do they stay where they are does virtualdub open and then close straight away or does it not run at all.
try this
Press the settings button and check that the locations of all the programs are correct.
Im using a *.d2v video and ogg audio file.
The jobs dont disappear they stay where they are. Virtual
dub does not run at all.
Im sure my Vdub location is ok but im using vers 1.4.9 is
that a prob?

hmm the only thing i can see which would cause this problem is if quick2pass cant find virtualdub
1.4.9 should be fine try installing the full package and reset the locations of the stuff in the settings window so you use the ones that come in the installer.
also what version of windows are you running.
can you check to see if a virtualdub.jobs file has been written and if so post it here

ah thats the one can you try installing avisynth from s software page its possible my installer is broken as that seems to be the problem.once done try opening that avs file in virtual dub is it works try my program again and report back.

This happened after i installed avisynth.
Guessing virtual dub could not open the
file without this???

yeah ill have to fix my installer to it does avisynth correctly
hopefully should have a new version with a better user interface early next week anyway ill try to fix the installer by then.Hopefully all goes well - im really keen

one small bug depending on the options you select it may produce output with an avi extention even if you use vorbis audio rename this to .ogm this is fixed in my build but the public versions still have this bug in.
