CCE error opening vaf file

Hi all, I'm working on backing up The Godfather Part II, and it's on 2 discs so I followed the directions from the FAQ to make them look as one. I found the problem when I got up this morning and I was kinda late for work so I didn't grab the log file, but here's the error message CCE popped up:

vinfo_open() failed: Bad Data lt;path\CCE_Video_Information_File.vafgt;

where path is my dvd2svcd output folder. I also noticed the vaf file was about 75 megs. I had CCE set for 3 pass VBR which usually works fine and this is the first time I've heard of this error. If the log file is needed, I'll post it later tonight when I get home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds as if the vaf became corrupted somehow.  The vaf file is always pretty small and 75mb for a movie as long as the Godfather doesn't seem too bad.

Definately post the Log file.

Also run the ripped Vob files through DVD2AVI or a Software DVD player to make sure they did not get corrupted.

A/V sync issues are fairly common with the combining of two DVD's/Sides, but I have not heard of this error before.Mark

Okay, thanks. I'll try that when I get home.

I tried playing each of the vobs in PowerDVD and they all seemed okay although I was zipping through at 32X and eventually just jumped to near the end of each. Here's the log:--------------------------------------------------------

Well, CCE is running now, so it's all good. I forgot to use internal routines to rip the first time, instead using Smartripper, so that must have been it. They seemed to be okay, but that's the only difference I can think of. I also defragged my bootable drive, but that's not the one I had the vobs on. In any event, sorry for the false alarm, and thanks.

Hi I'm having this problem with the roba option in version 1.1, but i use internal routines and the problem sometimes appears and other times is ok, i tried ripping a movie with smartripper and the problem appeared then i ripped it again with internal routines and the process was fine, after that i tried another movie and the problem appeared using internal routines so it's very unpredictible, any suggestions....
