where are mpc favorites stored?

Where does Media Player Classic store the favorites when you define them?  I didn't see it in the program directory, and googling and searching here didn't turn the info up.  I'd like to be able to back them up, so I don't lose them.

While I'm posting, can anyone tell me if there is a better app that can store favorites for various formats including dvd?  Generally I like BS Player but it doesn't play DVD, or does it now?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

there are two possibilities:
1) in the registry
look for quot;HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Media Player Classic\Favoritesquot;
2) in the mplayerc.ini file
look for a section named quot;[Favorites\Files]quot;

which one is correct for you depends on whether you have checked the quot;store settings in .ini failequot; in Options-gtlayer

Thank you!  I will select the .ini file and use that to back up.  But also, am I right in thinking that options for freeware media, including dvd, players taht will store bookmarks/favorites are very few, perhaps even limited to MPC?
