No more ripping need with APEX DVD machines..

This is amazing news. Today, I learned that with my APEX AD-700, I can playback .vob, .dts, .ac3 files like .mp3 playback. Just burn the file, then play it on the player. The only drawback.. the many disc swapping.

Well, I dont mind spending 6 cds for 3$ to have a movie in full quality video/sound.

Nice. But it would be a pain in the ass for switching disc.

Actually, what's better is to attach my own HD to it

That's a step in the right direction

Unless you have a DVD Burner.

You can hook you hard drive into it. So a 80gb hard drive for 150$ can hold 30 movies.

worth it?

and they are erasable.

What kind of port does it have? Would it have to be an external drive with firewire or USB? I know those external USB drives are reallllly slow. You could just spend another $200 and get a writer.

It's always nice to have options.....

Internal IDE.

Actually, the player can't play higher than 5mbits/s on a CDR, so it's kinda slimpy for DVD vobs.

Maybe future patch.
