Joining MPG files...Yes, I did search... ;-)

Hi.

I've been trying for a long time now to find a tool that can flawlesssly join MPG files. Up to now, I have tried TMPGEnc (gives a sound hitch in the joining point), Camel's MPEG Join (crashes when joining big files), M2-Edit Pro (has many limitations in use, i.e. cannot use files with VBR encoding and many stupid disturbing things like that which I've come across while using the program).

The only tool that used to do the work flawlessly was WebFlixPro (the predecessor of M2-Edit Pro). However, after the last format, the installation .exe of WebflixPro was deleted and since the prgram isn't available anymore (it's been replaced by stupid M2-Edit Pro), I can't find it anywhere.

So I would really appreciate it if you could recommend a program that does the work flawlessly (users of WebFlixPro would completely understand what I'm talking about when I say the word quot;flawlesslyquot;).

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am almost sure that ProjectX can solve your problems with joining mpegs.
My advice is to prepare individual mpegs with at least 1 or 2 surplus frames at the begining and end then cut off them at ProjectX process.

Old bump since I wanna try the ProjectX program. I downloaded it and run the program.

How do I join the files with it thought ? It's a little tough to understand since there are many options and the website is in German.

Help appreciated...

Noone knows how to join mpg files with ProjectX ?

simply open 1 file, then open the second, or use drag and drop and add as many as you wish , keeping in mind that the basic parameters of files should be the same

Well, I did try what you suggest, however, when I hit Go, the files get demuxed and not joined, so I stopped the process...

Is there any special parameters I need to enable in order for the program to join instead of demux ?
