Dual Audio Guide / Graphedit Path Problem
Hi,
I have multiplexed a dual audio avi with Nandub and it works fine with the old windows media player 6.4 and the Morgan Stream Switcher.
I have make also two diferents graph (one for each language) with Graphedit and the problem is that if you move those graphs (and of course the avi) to the root of a CD, the Win Media Player is not able to find the avi.
The solution of the guide (removepath) don't work, neither the render ucl option of the last graphedit (I guest it do exactly the same). Is there any solution for this problem. I Have read many post with the same, but not workarround at the moment.
Pd.: excuse, please, my poor english
Could you post one of your graphedit-files?
I will have a look at them!
Or, just open them with normal editor (NOT GRAPHEDIT) and look if there is an absolute path inside them. Warning: manual deleting of them in the editor will destroy the file, this method is only for looking at the file, not for editing - Sorry!
Well, If you send me both of your graph-files, I will try to fix them! You want them for microDVD-player, right? If yes, you can use them for any movie (encoded with same codecs, logically).

Thank you very much for your interest, but I have not problems with the graphs. They are made exactly as our master teach us in his guide, and are good graphs.
I have try the graphs with quot;process aviquot; + removepath and with quot;process uclquot; (with this option of Graphedit, if your avi is in the same folder you get the same result that using process avi + removepath) and when I move the avi to the CD root the Win Media Player loose the path.
I don't use MicroDvd. I use Wmp2 amp; Morgan Stream Switcher, but want to make a different graph for each language and shortcuts for it in a menu (made with Quick Menu Builder).
I'm trying to find a solution in forums since month ago without results.
Bye.Pd.: I have got a workaround (after countless trials) that allow you calling the graphs of one of the languages and really work always, but is a manual process (a little hard to be done) and you will need to include an additional file in the CD.
If somebody is interested I will try to explain how. You've said you move the avi to the root of the CD but do you move also the graph? I've made a lot of cd with two or more languages, so I have a avi file and as many audio tracks as languages. Making the graphs in graphedit and then running remove path works always (for me), but then the graphs and the file must be in the same directory.
If it could help you...
Of course I move the graphs and all the stuff to the root of the CD.
What OS, DX and Graphedit version are you using?
I'm using win 2000 pro, DX 8 and the last Graphedit, I think (11008).
For burning CD I use Nero 5.5.8.0. I don't know if it'll be useful to you, beceuse you've said you've done it the same as the guides, so...

Sorry I'm still stuck.
Please post your tip
I hope you had a tremendous holiday!
As I'm now going on holiday until the 29th of September I would be very glad to read your solution when I'm back with best regards.
This is the way:
1.- Render two graphs of the dual language avi as ucls.
2.- Put the movie and the two graphs in the same folder of the cd
3.- Put also in this folder a copy of the old media player exe (C:\Program files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe) is only a 4,53 kb file *VERY IMPORTANT
4.- Make two bat files (any name you want) with this text@echo off cd.. mplayer2.exe quot;movieLg.aviquot;
where quot;movieLg.aviquot; is the name of each of your graphs
5.- Then, if you call one of the bat files from a menu or from comamnd line, it will work perfectly.
6.- Don't ask me why
I use to make an english.avi graph, an spanish.avi graph, and two diferentent bat files (English.bat and Spanish.bat) for calling each of them from a quot;Quick menu builderquot; menu.
In the menu I put a diferent shorcuts for each bat (with open minimized and close menu options) that will open one language of the dual avi without problems. In this case I add a additional line at the end of the bat (quot;menu.exequot;) so when the film had finished the menu reappears.
The result is very professional.Pd. Sorry about my poor english |
