How to confirm number of passes actually occur?
I use rebuilder, but I am curious how can I check how many passes actually happen. I select 5 but how do I know this is happening (actually I guess technically 4 would occur, since 1st doesnt count...)
I have a XP 2700+ processor, so it takes me 7 hours to encode a movie. I guess you can judge through the time it takes, but any concrete way to tell?
Have you read this thread showthread.ph...hreadid=82246?
That has nothing to do with my ?
Im not experiencing a problem, I just want to know how to tell if it is doing what I ask it to do. How can I make sure it does the # of passes? Is there a way to tell, aside from how long it takes.
showthread.ph...ght=cce+passes
it may look different depending on cce version.. i havent used 2.50 in a while
It sounds like you are using CCE SP 2.50, if you have set it to 5 passes check the time on the .vaf (first pass) when the .m2v pass starts check the time...it should be the number of passes left (4) times the amount of time from the first pass....(lets say 2 min .vaf pass = 8 mins. m2v pass).Hope this helpssorry Trahald a little slow on my part....
You can also compare the # of frames to encode to the number in the segment. You can check the number of frames in the segment being encoded by opening item.ecl in a text editor, it will be at the bottom of the document.
Well I switched to 2.67 and I see it shows the # of passes. Sweet. Big improvement over 2.5. |
