After encoding over twenty movies successfully with Gknot(Divx4) I have a problem that I can't resolve. During scenes with a great deal of black background there is significant pixelation. I have tried different quality levels including sharp bicubic but have not seen improvement. I always select 2 CD's. Since this is animation perhaps there are features or settings that I am not using correctly. Someone please point me in the right direction. Thanks for any help.
I've apparently not had this trouble, but then I used DivX5, not DivX4. 1 CD, 608x336 resolution.
I no longer have the encoding specifics available; but I assume I used B-Frames, GMC, and Light Psychovisuals.
Well, if you are only using 1 CD and get excellent quality it may be time for me to switch to Divx5. I hate to change when things have been so good but change is inevitable. Thanks for the information.
hi golfbc - shrek is an easy 1 CD dvd.
as far as i'm aware there is no point in using divx4 instead of 5 - time for a change methinks .
Philosophy and Divx on the same board. Who knew?? Thanks for the response. I am on my way to Divx5. |
