Evangelion Audio Synch Prob
Ive ripped probably 100 movies before and Ive never had this problem. Im trying to encode the US Evangelion DVDs. Now evey time I encode it its out of synch. I looked and it turns out I have 3 different lengths for my video and audio:
Final Divx - 1:34:19.400
Initial AC3 - 1:34:21.440
Final MP3 - 1:34:21.385
How can I fix this? If I try to load it into HeadAC3hce and change the end time, but it goes by frames and I cant set it to an exact time length. Are there any good freeware wav editing app? I appreaciate any suggestions.
Hi-
You can fix it using Nandub by adjusting the frame rate if it's progressively asynch. Just go Video-Frame Rate-Change to xxx frames per second. See Doom9's VDub guide for a full explanation with pictures. He's also got a couple of alternative methods.
If it's off by the same amount all the way through (doesn't get worse as the episode goes along), it's a simple matter of adjusting the delay in Audio-Interleaving-Audio skew correction.
By the way-I've encoded some of the NGE episodes with no audio synch problems. Did you forget to set the delay, or perhaps do a bad downsample? So the question you should be asking yourself if how they got asynch in the first place, so you don't have the same problem with all the episodes.
The AC3s from DVD2AVI had 0ms delay and I didnt to any downsampling. I just did what has always worked for me. Demux with DVD2AVI and encode with BeSweet. |
