i am trying to rip Idependence Day and the VOB files are not the usual 1048 meg file size as every other dvd i have ripped. i was wondering if some knows how to fix that?
Hi frenchie20001,
and welcome to the forum.
Why fix something that is not broken? - Some movies have some kind of seamless/integrated branching and by choosing different track/angles you get different VOB sizes - that's not an error.
For example quot lanet of the Apesquot; is an example I did in the past - depending on the track I chose with DVD2SVCD (use internal routines, click quot;Movie lengthquot; pulldown and then choose one track from the quot;Track lengthquot;) you get different VOB sizes because only the necessary information gets ripped then.
Hope this helps,
Gerti
thanks for answering that question.
now i have another question. i have am amd 1700 with 512 megs or ram and i am running into a problem with besweet. it cashes during the transcoding .. i can't post the log since it crashes before logging. i have tried XP and 2k pro i tried the gui for besweet as well and the mp2 i made had no audio .. i am rather lost ...
Whew,
that's really little information you gave us.
- How about the quot;dvd2svcd_log.txtquot;?
- Ripped with ...?
- Does the ripped AC3 file play correctly with WinDVD or PowerDVD?
Give us more.
Gerti

no encoded log since it craches during that phase. Power DVD gives an error when i try to play the AC3 file. i have not tried the mem check yet but i plan on doing it this weekend. I rip the dvd with the internal routine from dvd2svcd ... i also tried smart ripper but that did not work as it ripped all the files at 1048 meg and then cesweet would stop due to crc errors ..
gerti67: i hope i am providing enough for you to go on ...
Jason28: thanks for that info i was planning on doing that but i have not had a chance to do so |
