Handling of ac3 streams with stereo to 5.1 change

Hi there.

I have a .ts file which was captured from digital sattelite and contains a hdtv video mpeg2 stream and an ac3 stream.

This stream however changes from stereo to 5.1 soon.

How do I cut out the part that contains stereo?
