I've been seaching this forum and googled, but can't find the answer to my problem:
I have recently installed WinXP I can't get the AC3Filter. The 5.1 works fine, as does the AC3 (my receiver indicates that it gets an AC3 signal) in MPC (6.4.8.2), but I can't select AC3filter under -gt; Filters and I also have disabled the built-in audio switcher. No matter what I chose in AC3Filter, I get AC3, but I wonder where this is being set up.
It also works when I enable the MPC audio switcher and turn SPDIF on (of course), but I'd rather use AC3Filter instead of MPCs (and especially instead of something that I don't know as it is right now).
So, which audio filter am I actually using right now and how can I disable it???
Thanks in advance!
You can see the presently used filters in MPC: right clicking into movie -gt; filters.
ac3filter can be configured via Control Panel. Set quot refer ac3filterquot; on quot;Systemquot; tab. On the left side you can choose which audio formats ac3filter should handle.
Especially Nero filters tend to catch every stream they can get their hands on. If you have Nero installed and don't need the filters unregister (regsvr32.exe /u lt;filenamegt;) every ax-file in quot;C:\Program files\shared files\Ahead\DSFilterquot;
(quot;Shared filesquot; may be called quot;common filesquot; or similar. I don't know the exact English name.) |
