Can't tell if div-x 5.02 is installed. Is it?
I recently installed Div-x 5.02 Pro, and tried encoding a movie. Both attempts had no audio, although GordianKnot said that it muxed it. I used 192kb AC3. After reading on the forumn, I fixed that. But...
While I was trying to troubleshoot what went wrong, I noticed that in multimedia/video codecs, Div-X 5.02 wasn't listed. I had Div-X high and low motion codecs, and Div-X 4.11, and nothing else, Div-X wise.
I am not sure that the movie I just did even used 5.02. How can I determine what is going on, if it isn't listed? And if it didn't install, how do I do so? Running the 5.02 Pro program should have, shouldn't it?
As long as your DivX5.02 encoded files work, it is installed, and I have the same thing, it is reported as DivX4 on the system configuration.
And sound not being muxed with the video isn't a DivX issue, it's a GKnot issue or you done something wrong while configuring GKnot.
I never encode audio amp; video simultaneously btw, always video alone encoding, then muxing with AC3 or MP3 in NanDub, nothing simpler than that, and it helps avoiding asynch movies, since I got sometimes asynch movies just because having encoded audio amp; video simultaneously!
The problem with the audio not working turned out to be something to do with the AC3 audio. I downloaded an quot;audiofilterquot; from the download section, per the advice in a message thread, and it worked.
However, I will stick with MP3 audio, I think, so as to avoid further problems.
Since the encoded movies are working now, I imagine that 5.02 is working also.
Simple test:
Run the quot;Decoder configurationquot; application:
Start..Programs..DivX..DivX Codec.
With 5.02, you'll see quot;5.0.2quot; in the logo in the window.
If you don't have it installed, then ... er ... you don't have it installed.
I wasn't aware of that decoder config program. Thanks ALOT. I was going slightly nuts trying to find out where the post-processing settings were too.
Turns out 5.02 is installed, but it shows in the control panel/multimedia/video compression codecs as 4.11. If you click on Div-X 4.11, it claims that it's 5.02 as well. Strange, but as long as it's working...
Thanks alot guys, for the help. |
