problems with warner home video
Hello,
I have run across a dvd that is giving me a lot of problems. I am attempting to make a 1:1 backup of Swordfish. I am ripping with Smartripper and splitting to 2 dvd's with IFO Edit. Everything went normal as usual, until I went to test the backup in my standalone player. The player recognizes it is a dvd, then shows title 20 and that's it game over. After the splitting stage, then manually copying the Title set and menu files, I test the dvd in two different player's before the actual burn with Nero 5.5.8.2. I think thats what confusing me the most. Power DVD and the DVD Player in IFO Edit both play it without a glich. After making one coaster, I broke out the DVD-RW's and started trying different commands in the first play pgc. Once again, the movie plays fine with IFO edit dvd player, but shows that title 20 in the standalone. I had a the same problem with a different WB movie, but I was able to shake it with the first play pgc. So I compared the two different movies and found that Swordfish has 17 pre-commands versus the other with just 1. I editted that also but it didn't work either. So I am kinda like @#%$. I am not sure what to try. I even thought my computer was screwing me, but I did a different dvd backup the same way and it plays fine. Anyway, this movie has got me stumped and I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
I guess sorry for the silly post. I should have researched a little harder before opening my mouth. Anyway, I used Doom9's IFOEdit guide. Created the image and burned with DVD Decrypter. I have never had to do that before, so I still say WB movies are just a little different. Thanks for all the great information and guides that can be aquired here! |
