Can't get valid m2v file from DVD something, message, create, stream

All I wanted to do was extract the m2v stream from a DVD. Its 3.3 gigs and I used DVDdecryptor to extract the m2v stream and the ac3 stream of the main PGC.

the resulting m2v file shows an error message when spruce up is about 49% done importing it.  it says something about gop headers screwed or something...(i'm paraphrasing here).

any clues what's wrong? why doesn't this work?

I'm paraphrasing here, but why don't you try Smartripper, then IFOedit, then ReMPEG2 to create your files ?
