Tmpgenc DVD settings have 29.976 framerate

I'm curious...if the original DVD video is encoded progressive at 23.x frame rate, then if I re-encode it, shouldn't I encode it at 23.x frame rate again non-interlaced?  the reason I ask is Tmpgenc automatically selects 29.976 for the frame rate and interlaced. i wonder if this is is causing some of my audio sync problems...

the only way i can change the frame rate, is to start a new project in tmpgenc. the wizard greys out changes to the frame rate and interlace settings.

By the way, the reason I'm doing this, is I wanted to extract scenes from a DVD and compile them into one quot;collection dvdquot;.  i've tried all sorts of methods of doing this..and none have worked out perfectly.   ________

Hi !!!

I have the same problem the first time I want to encode a DVD file with 23.976 fps source. So I modify the original DVD template that comes with TMPGEnc for a new one that can work with DVD2AVI projects that requires 23.976 fps encoding (forced film otion). You can downloaded  here .
