I'm pretty used to xvid/mp3 with Gordian Knot but just got into DVD-r for the first time...Using DVDShrink, my question is
How do i get my files(ripped with DVDDecryptor in ifo mode) onto DVD using shrink...i can't seem to select them the same way i would with a mounted iso.
thnx in advance.
i guess you don't (at least easily).
just go and rip them in file mode...

Heh, yeah i figured it wouldn't be easy, but i'm willing to learn. Been using the quick method - Shrink and Decryptor, however i'm very intereted to learn from the guides how to cut and edit menus and such. This however i reckon would be the first step - Getting those vobs and that 1 ifo back onto DVD unfortunately is stumping me at the moment and I can't find anything in the guides.
I'm pretty comfortable with virtualDub, vfapi, DVD2AVI and I'm learning CCE/Maestro....any help with these would be appreciated. Thanx for answering though Lark.
no problem,
a wild idea just came into my mind.
what if you just create the IFOs in ifoedit...?
that way you won't obviously have any menu, but you don't have it anyway, if you ripped in ifo mode.
i'm not quite sure, what ifoedit does for the movie's IFO, but at least it generates the vmg ifo for you and you should be able to play the 'DVD' and thus shrink should be able to read it ;-)
sorry, i'm currently @ work and cannot check this...
you can also try to replace the VTS ifo (that ifoedit created) with the one that dvd decrypter ripped to have the PGCs and such, but again, i'm not quite sure, what dvd decrypter retains there... and you don't have the vts menu (or will you)...

Seeing as i'm currently working with CCE/MAESTRO and Tmpgenc I tried processing the video(vobs) directly with CCE. I can easily extract the AC3 with DGindex however the final result from CCE(Being of course .mpv, which i renamed to .m2v as per the CCE guide here) included alot of what i can only describe as quot;purple hazequot; - and no i'm not stoned.
Reckon i must have got the interlace/progressive settings wrong, but then this has strayed into another forum so i'll retry and post there if i need help...thanx anyway lark its an interesting idea and one that i'll devote future attention to. |
