DVD Shrink copy protection error protection, continue, request, Welcome

Hey i have DVD shrink 3.2 and ever time i try to make a back up disc it and error happens when its at 0% Encoding, it saysquot; DVD Shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue. Copy protection error. The request cannot be preformed becuase of an I/O device error.quot; it says this for any DVD i try. Help would be great!

Please be specific - which DVDs (and which Region number) have you tried to process with DVD Shrink?

(if you are referring only to new releases, you are probably running into DVDs that contain either quot;ARccOSquot; or quot;RipGuardquot; copy protection)

ok i tryed ripping The new War of the Worlds, didnt work. I tryed Ripping Mr. and Mrs. Smith, didnt work.  About the region #, i dont know what that is or where to fined it out. And if DVD shrink isnt working because the DVDs have this quot;ARccOSquot; or quot;RipGuardquot; copy protection, then how do i rip theses DVDs. Whats the point of this DVD shrink then if it cant even rip the new Average DVD? Thanks for the help guys!

are you aware that dvd shrink is no longer developed? and hasnt been updated in some time?

sorry about my thread name, i tryed to edit it but didnt figure out how. Are there any programs that will rip theses new DVDs? I downloaded that little PSL2 plugin thing, and i couldnt get it to work so i figured that mabey it doesnt work with DVD Shrink. Does it? I just need some easy program that i can rip my dvds with.

Does PSL2 plugin only work with DVD Decypter?

I used DVD Shrink on War of the Worlds and it worked just fine.. just got lucky I guess.

More specifically, you should be using DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4...
