Multiple avi's onto DVD single, like, software, forward, present

Hello,
I have several avi files of TV progs which I would like to put onto a single DVD. So far, using Cucusoft to do AVI - DVD and IfoEdit for the DVD-Authoring, I have been able to put them on DVD, but only as a single, large DVD file.
What I want to do is to be able to select which episode to watch from the main menu after inserting the DVD, rather than having to fast forward through a single 3 hour show as I'm doing at present. Is there an easy way of doing this with the software that I'm using.
Also, for ease of searching, how can I get the shows partitioned into chapters. At the moment I can only fast forward.

Go easy on me - I'm quite computer literate but completely new to the world (and language) of DVD technology.

Assuming you are talking about captures you made from your television:

One solution would be to use quot;TMPGEnc DVD Authorquot; to easily create separate TITLES for each episode, CHAPTERS within each TITLE, and a MENU (or MENUs). You can obtain a FULLY functional free 30 day trial version of this commercial program at:



Tmpgenc Dvd Author is not the best tool for this, it wont convert from avi to dvd in quot;one goquot;, you´ll have to use his little brother(tmpgenc plus) to convert from avi to dvd.

my sugestion is to use DIKO, i know its not freeware but it does the job oh so much better!!!

it uses dvd styler to make up the menus for your captured shows.

if you were just converting a big captred show(2 hours) i would reccoment avi2dvd(freeware), have a look at this tutorial, it takes a while to load but its worth it

So, since quot;Dunwalkinquot; already has  DVD quot;packagequot;, only quot;TMPGEnc DVD Authorquot; would now be required...

or you could do it the freeware way but more steps/knowledge would be required

1- convert your avis to dvd with Quenc.Why Quenc? because its a good free converter and you dont need avisynth to quot;feedquot; the avis to it.

2. use dvdstyler/dvdauthor to make the final dvd with menus.
