Been using Belight (love the interface!) to generate DD5.1 AC3 from .wav ripped using vdubmod.
Import into DVDLab Pro for authoring, and it reports DD2.0 (2 ch, stereo).
My question: How can I tell if BeLight is really outputting DD5.1 AC3? Is it only putting out DD2.0 and this is all fake?
Any software to test my AC3 files?
On comparison, I transcoded using ffmpeggui, and belight, and filesize is exactly the same. I would expect DD5.1 to be larger, no?
BeSweet.exe -core( -input M:\Temp\AvP.wav -output M:\Temp\AvP.ac3 -logfile M:\Temp\AvP.log ) -azid( -c normal ) -ota( -hybridgain ) -ssrc( --rate 48000 ) -ac3enc( -b 256 -6ch )

So...how do I change quot;Channels Modequot;, or do I?
What else might I have to do?
I guess your wav input file is stereo (2_channels) ?? BeSweet can't upmix channels natively. That's why you have a stereo ac3 output file. To upmix you can try with upmix tool (search in the forum) or anything else...
Kurtnoise13 is right, to end up with a 5.1 file from a 2.0 file, you need to use some method of upmixing. For a list of methods and links to related messages on this forum and elsewhere, check GUIDE LIST: Stereo-to-Surround Conversion Guides Posted in This Forum.
Cool. I guess I should have figured out how to word the question better, but Kurtnoise13 gave me the hint I needed, and ursamtl kindly provided the link. |
