I bought a 100 pack of generic dvd-r media, and the first few seemed ok, but one of them I just burned is having typical break-up and skipping/freezing issues and is unplayable after abotu 85% into the disc. I thought I had fixed this by switching to PIO mode, but apparently not. Can't be the power supply since it only happens at the end of discs.
Anyway, I wanted to run ADVDinfo to check the brand and post results, maybe get a cheap but reliable brand. However, with valid ASPI drivers, when I select the Lead-in option, and hit read disc, I get the same ASPI message:
ASPI Command Returned:
SenseKey 05h; ASC 24h; ASCQ 00h
What is happening here? This occurs for any brand I insert into the burner.
I don't want to waste the next 90 discs I burn. Can I try another disc and just get lucky once in a while? I am out of ideas here, other than getting expensive discs. Again, my friends uses these discs without these problems.
I have also error sometimes, and need to click 2 or 3 times to get the info.
Also, be sure you use it in your DVD Burner and not a DVD reader (do not work in my pioneer 116).
Verify that it is your burner which is selected in the window (I konw it seems stupid, but it happend often to me and it always took me a bit before to realize i am on the wrong device...)
I clicked like 20 times, and still got the above error message.
Some of the other options will work, like the first couple, but 0E does not. Not on any disc. This is in my burner, a Panasonic LF-D311
I can't get it work either (DVR-A03). In some cases, it even caused a BSOD |
